If you thought that with The Velocipastor Or Sharknado you had seen everything in the genre of horror movies, you were very wrong. There is always room for a more “clownish”. And, in this case, there is no better way to describe it.
We are talking about CLOWNED, a new movie that, as its own -and curious- name indicates, presents clowns that are transported through … tornados. It sounds to you, huh?
However, beyond the obvious similarity with the Sharknado saga, the tone of this movie seems much darker. It continues to be a parody with a lot of humor (you can see it in the above parade, which has just been released), but with a more marked duality.
Something that you can appreciate also in the new trailer that has been published and which you can see just below these lines. Surely, the most interesting of all is the fact that clowns are multiple and each one with a really different design.
This film will be directed by Todd Sheets, and will present the story of some clowns who come from Hell itself, with the intention of seeking revenge. A true topic, but a simple context to put on the table a great and fun nonsense.
Some of the actors that will appear in it are Linnea Quigley, Eileen Dietz, Julie Anne Prescott, Dylinn Fawn Harvey, Milan Millie and Joel D. Wynkoop. On the other hand, you must know that it is a project that was financed by crowdfunding. In case you were wondering where those spawns had come from. It will arrive in summer, by the way.
