Rockstar buys one of Starbreeze’s subsidiaries

Trying not to fall into absolute bankruptcy with the consequent closure, Starbreeze has decided to sell to Rockstar Games the company Dhruva Interactive, a subsidiary to which various studios commissioned the realization of art for their projects. They have worked in Days Gone, Forza Horizon 4, Marvel’s Spider-Man and a host of great AAA that you surely know.

The purchase agreement has been closed for 7.9 million dollars and with it the team of almost 300 employees of the company joins the approximately 500 employees already working in Rockstar India.

The news comes shortly after knowing that Starbreeze does not have sufficient funds to continue operating for more than 12 months, so without movements like this they would not be able to stay open and pay their employees in a matter of one year.

Dhruva Interactive is one of the most important companies in the videogame industry in India and its acquisition is a great step for Rockstar, as they add hundreds of employees with experience in some of the most prolific projects of recent years.
