Netflix has announced a new animated series based on Jurassic World, produced by Dreamworks Animation, with release date for 2020. It will be titled Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, and its executive producers will be Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Colin Trevorrow, Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras.
It will be set in the timeline of the 2015 Jurassic World, and will follow in the footsteps of six teenagers who have been lost on Nublar Island after the dinosaurs create chaos across the island. As it is almost mandatory for a group of lost children, they will need to evolve from strangers among them to form a family if they want to survive this traumatic experience.
The showrunners of this Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous are Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras, who have previously worked on Pinky Malinky and Kung Fun Panda: Paws of Destiny, respectively. The series does not have a specific date, but we can see it sometime next year, 2020.
